OK. I admit it. I don’t get it. I know a lot about music. I mull upon music constantly.
I do not mull upon economics nearly so often – though I do mull a bit here and there.
So why are we being told we must make a $700 Billion decision in a hurry, without hardly even beginning to debate our options, let alone being given a good faith opportunity to understand what exactly is being proposed?
I suppose that to seriously debate America’s obvious financial psychosis at any point before the actual CRISIS was upon us might have led to a CRISIS…?
It being VP week in politics land, let us pause to consider Sarah Palin.

I am so invested in favor of Obama and Change that I cannot begin to pretend to objectivity. However, I must say I found myself really disliking McCain’s condescending sarcastic demeanor.

UPDATE – an interesting link from Talking Points Memo.
Guy comes on the bus – “Driver! – Man, let me ride free today – I left my pass at home and I need to get to work.” So I tell him he needs to pay a fare if he wants to ride the bus. That’s when he cusses under (almost under) his breath, reaches into his trousers pocket, pulls out a roll of banknotes with zeros in the corners, and peels off a single.
And that’s what this “bail-out” feels like to me. I think the people asking for the handout still have funds they’d rather we didn’t know about.
